The 2013 NHL Draft has arrived, and with the fifth overall pick, the Carolina Hurricanes are in a prime spot to land a top-tier prospect. There have also been talks of perhaps moving the pick, which is sure to make for an interesting few hours.

CarolinaHurricanes.com is in New Jersey to cover today's seven-round event. Below, we’ll keep a running blog of everything that happens throughout the day. We will be hosting a live chat on Twitter beginning at approximately 2:30 p.m., with the first round slated to get underway at 3 p.m. For those who do not have a Twitter account, a live stream of those tweets and others will be provided on this page.

Check back regularly for new posts, which will include various news items, tweets, videos from CanesVision, pictures and more. You can also follow @NHLCanes, @MSmithCanes and @MikeSundheim on Twitter for additional updates. Finally, we invite you to join the discussion at the bottom of this blog in the comments section.
