RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Chris Terry from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
This marks the second NHL recall this season for the 24-year-old Terry. The Brampton, Ont., native played in seven games with the Hurricanes from Nov. 7-21, averaging 11:19 of ice time per game before being reassigned to the Checkers on Nov. 22. Terry (5’10”, 195 lbs.) ranks second among Charlotte skaters this season in goals (23), assists (33) and power-play goals (11), and is tied for first on the team with 56 points in 56 games. He has scored one goal in 10 career NHL games with Carolina since being drafted by the Hurricanes in the fifth round, 132nd overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
