A native of Plattsburgh, NY, Jesse Boulerice appeared in six NHL seasons between 2001 and 2009, including three with the Carolina Hurricanes. Acquired by the Hurricanes via trade on Feb. 13, 2002, Boulerice totaled eight goals, two assists (10 points) and 286 penalty minutes in 150 games with Carolina between 2002 and 2006. Originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth round, 133rd overall, of the 1996 NHL Draft, he skated in 172 total NHL games with the Flyers, Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues and Edmonton Oilers, notching 10 points and 333 career penalty minutes.

In addition to his time in the NHL, Boulerice played in 395 career American Hockey League (AHL) games with Philadelphia, Lowell, Albany, Lake Erie and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, earning 70 points (29 goals,41a) and accumulating 1,212 penalty minutes. Prior to turning professional, Boulerice played three seasons of junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for Detroit and Plymouth. He also represented the United States at the World Junior Championship in 1997 and 1998, winning a silver medal in 1997 and serving as an alternate captain for Team USA in 1998.

Following the conclusion of his hockey career, Boulerice and his wife, Jacqueline, settled in Raleigh, where they have three children: Layla, Kane and Shea. He currently works as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch and enjoys working with a number of charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity, the Carolina Hurricanes Kids 'N Community Foundation and the Jimmy V Foundation. He also spends time assisting coaching staffs with USA Hockey and the Raleigh Youth Hockey Association.
