1999-2003: Completed a four-year junior hockey career with Val-d’Or of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), totaling 19 goals, 58 assists (77 points) and 393 penalty minutes in 183 regular season games… Played in the 2001 Memorial Cup with Val-d’Or, helping the Foreurs reach the final before falling to Red Deer.
2003-04: Completed his first professional season, splitting the year between Toronto (AHL) and Columbus (ECHL)… Earned two assists in 30 games on the AHL level and three points (1g, 2a) in 10 ECHL games.
2004-05: Earned an AHL career-high 25 points (3g, 22a) in 51 games with the Edmonton Road Runners of the AHL… Was tied for third among Road Runners skaters in plus/minus (+6) and won the team’s Outstanding Defenseman Award.
2005-06: Spent the majority of the season with Hamilton (AHL), totaling 19 points (3g, 16a) in 50 games… Made his NHL debut with the Oilers vs. STL (2/12).
2006-07: Skated in 16 NHL games for the Oilers, netting a pair of goals… Beat Evgeni Nabokov for his first NHL goal at SJ (1/10)… Missed 15 NHL games after suffering a concussion vs. PHX (2/27)… Netted his second goal at STL (3/29)… Also skated in 31 games on the AHL level with Hamilton, and ranked third among Bulldogs defensemen in goals (6) and points (18)… Was fourth on the team in plus/minus (+17)… Was named to the Canadian team for the 2007 AHL All-Star Classic, but did not play due to a recall to the Oilers.
2007-08: Played in 13 games with Edmonton, earning one point… Also appeared in 20 AHL games for Springfield, totaling 10 points (2g, 8a)… Earned his first NHL assist vs. LA (2/28)… Missed the majority of the season recovering from a recurring shoulder injury.
2008-09: Spent the entire season in the AHL with Springfield, playing in a career-high 59 games and tallying 17 points (2g, 15a).
2009-10: Played in an NHL-career-high 31 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets… Also established NHL career highs in assists (10) and points (10)… Ranked tied for fourth among Columbus defensemen in assists… Also played in 15 AHL games, splitting time between Syracuse and Rochester due to a March trade from Columbus to Florida… Made his Calder Cup Playoff debut for Rochester, appearing in six games as Rochester was topped by Abbotsford in the opening round.
