2007-08: Was named both ECAC and Ivy League Rookie of the Year, after finishing second among Cornell skaters in scoring with 32 points on 12 goals and a team-best 20 assists during his freshman season… Was Cornell’s first Ivy League Rookie of the Year since Denis Ladouceur in 1999 and was its the first ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year since David McKee in 2004… Had a team-high 10 multi-point games and his 32 points were the most for a Cornell freshman since Kyle Knopp earned 33 in 1995-96.
2008-09: Was named to the ECAC First Team and earned honorable-mention All-Ivy League honors during his sophomore year, leading the Big Red with 35 points (13g, 22a)… Had eight multi-point games, including a four-point effort vs. Union College (2/21)… Had a career-best three assists vs. Rensselaer (3/15)… Was invited to the selection camp for Team Canada for the 2009 World Junior Championships, but did not make the final roster.
2009-10: Was named third-team All-ECAC and honorable mention All-Ivy League after totaling 35 points (12g, 23a) in 30 games for Cornell… Reached the 100-point mark for his collegiate career… Had nine multi-point games to complete his collegiate career with 27 multi-point efforts in three seasons… Earned at least one point in seven of the season’s first eight games… Notched three points (2g, 1a) vs. Colgate (2/16)… Closed out the season with a point in each of his final five games, including five points in Cornell’s ECAC quarterfinal series against Harvard… Missed four games to injury, marking his only games missed during his collegiate career.
2010-11: Completed his first professional season, ranking second among Charlotte (AHL) rookies with 32 points (14g, 18a) in 79 games… Led Checkers rookie forwards in plus/minus (+5)… Made his professional debut at Connecticut (10/9)… Earned his first AHL points with a pair of assists at Binghamton (10/30)… Scored his first AHL goal vs. Portland (11/3)… Earned his first multi-goal game with a pair of tallies vs. Syracuse (12/6)… Earned six points in a seven-game span from 1/23-2/8… Totaled four points (1g, 3a) in 16 Calder Cup Playoff games, as the Checkers advanced to the Eastern Conference Final before falling to Binghamton.
2011-12: Appeared in his first NHL season, spending the majority of the season with Carolina’s AHL affiliate, Charlotte… Skated in five NHL games for Carolina, averaging 10:34 in ice time per game and recording one assist… Had 20 points (8g, 12a) in 58 games with Charlotte (AHL)… Scored six of his eight AHL goals on the power play, ranking tied for fourth among Checkers… Notched three points (1g, 2a) at Norfolk (11/23)… Was recalled to the NHL for the first time on 12/21… Made his NHL debut and was (even) in 13:02 of ice time vs. PHX (12/21)… Earned his first career NHL point with an assist on Andreas Nodl’s goal vs. OTT (12/23)… Reassigned to Charlotte (AHL) on 12/23… Finished the month of January with eight points (4g, 4a) in eight AHL games, including three multi-point games… Served a second NHL stint from 1/30-2/6, skating in three games without earning a point… Missed 16 AHL games due to injury.
