Completed his third professional season and first with the Carolina organization, splitting the season between Florida of the NHL and San Antonio and Charlotte of the AHL… Played 15 NHL games with Florida, scoring three points (2g, 1a)… Ranked seventh among Charlotte skaters with 28 points (8g, 20a), nine of which came prior to joining the team via trade on 1/18… Ranked fifth on the Checkers with 20 assists… Posted 16 assists after joining the team on 1/18, which ranked third on the team in that span… Registered his only multi-goal AHL game of the season in San Antonio’s 6-1 win vs. Toronto (11/5)… Recalled to Florida on 11/12 and scored a goal in his first NHL game of the season vs. PHI (11/13)… Netted a goal for the second time in as many games at DAL (11/15)… Returned to San Antonio on 12/10 after a 12-game stint with the Panthers (2g, 0a)… Dealt to the Hurricanes on 1/18 and assigned to Charlotte… Made his Checkers debut at Abbotsford (1/20) … Scored his first two points as a Checker with an empty-net goal and an assist at Norfolk (1/24).
CAREER
Acquired by the Hurricanes on 1/18/12 along with A.J. Jenks in exchange for Jon Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom… Signed with HC Donbass of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in the summer of 2012… Has 20 points (10g, 10a) in 55 career NHL games, all with Florida… Has totaled 84 points (33g, 51a) in 155 career AHL games with Rochester, San Antonio and Charlotte… Represented Russia at the 2007 World Junior Championship, winning bronze… Also played for Russia at the 2007 U-18 World Junior Championship… Played three seasons for Chelyabinsk from 2006-2009, totaling 37 points (19g, 18a) in 107 games on the top Russian level… Completed his first season in North America in 2009-10, skating in four NHL games with the Panthers, and earning 40 points (17g, 23a) in 76 games with Rochester (AHL)… Made his NHL debut vs. OTT (4/6/10)… Totaled 17 points (8g, 9a) in 36 NHL games with Florida in 2010-11, and represented Florida at the 2011 NHL All-Star Game in Raleigh as one of 12 rookies selected to participate… Earned first NHL point with an assist vs. COL (12/7/10)… Netted his first NHL goal Dec. 15 vs. CAR (12/15/10)… Had his first NHL multi-point game with two assists vs. BUF (12/17/10)… Netted two goals in his return to action vs. NYI (3/19)after missing 21 games with a broken finger, his first career multi-goal game… Also skated in 24 AHL games with Rochester in 2010-11, recording 16 points (8g, 8a).
