CANIACS ASKED TO LEND A HELPING HAND
$10 Preseason Tickets Available with Canned Food Donation
RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 19, 2003) – Ken Lehner, Vice President of Marketing Communications for the Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team will offer $10 upper-level tickets to each of its three preseason games at the RBC Center for fans donating a canned food item to assist in relief of Hurricane Isabel.
Fans must purchase their tickets and make their donations on game nights at the RBC Center’s Dodge Box Office to take advantage of the $10 ticket promotion. Carolina will play three preseason games at the RBC Center, Sept. 25 against Tampa Bay, Sept. 26 against Atlanta and Oct. 4 against Washington.
The Hurricanes open their 2003 preseason schedule tonight at Office Depot Center in Sunrise, Fla., against division rivals the Florida Panthers. The Panthers are also offering fans a $10 upper-level ticket to tonight’s game with the donation of a canned food item for victims of Hurricane Isabel.
The Hurricanes open their seventh season in North Carolina on Oct. 9 at Florida, before returning to the RBC Center for their home opener, Saturday, Oct. 11 against defending Stanley Cup champion New Jersey. Ticket packages for the 2003-04 season are available by calling 1-888-NHL-TIX1. Individual game tickets will be available beginning Sept. 28 at the Fourth Annual Caniac Carnival, presented by Progress Energy at the RBC Center.
