GAME NIGHT

The Carolina Hurricanes continue their four-game home stand Saturday as they play host to the Los Angeles Kings. Tonight is the Hurricanes’ third game in a span that sees them play seven of eight games at home between Nov. 2 and Nov. 18. Carolina dropped the first game of its current four-game home stand to Toronto 2-1 on Nov. 2, but rebounded with a 6-3 win Thursday against the NY Rangers.

Winger Jeff O’Neill leads the team with eight assists and ranks third on the team with nine points (1g, 8a). The Hurricanes and the Kings meet for the first and only time during the 2003-04 season on Saturday at the RBC Center. The teams played a unique two-game set in 2002-03 with the Kings scoring a season-high eight goals against Carolina at Los Angeles on Feb. 7, and the teams skating to a 0-0 tie at the RBC Center on March 15. Josef Vasicek led the Hurricanes with a goal and an assist (2 points) in last year’s two-game set. The Hurricanes are 24-28-8-0 all time against the Kings, including a 14-11-5-0 home mark and a 10-17-3-0 road record.
