The Hurricanes and the Kings meet for the first and only time during the 2003-04 season on Saturday at the RBC Center. The teams played a unique two-game set in 2002-03 with the Kings scoring a season-high eight goals against Carolina at Los Angeles on Feb. 7, and the teams skating to a 0-0 tie at the RBC Center on March 15. Josef Vasicek led the Hurricanes with a goal and an assist (2 points) in last year’s two-game set. The Hurricanes are 24-28-8-0 all time against the Kings, including a 14-11-5-0 home mark and a 10-17-3-0 road record.
