GAME NIGHT
The Carolina Hurricanes play host to the Nashville Predators on Wednesday in the second game of a three-game home stand. The Hurricanes won the first game of their home stand on Saturday, downing the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 behind Radim Vrbata’s second career hat trick. Following Wednesday’s game against Nashville, the Hurricanes host Montreal on Friday before departing on a four-game, nine-day road trip through Canada.

The Hurricanes and the Predators meet for the first and only time during 2003-04, Wednesday night at the RBC Center. The teams met exactly one year ago today, in their lone 2002-03 match up, a 2-1 Hurricanes victory at Gaylord Entertainment Center. Erik Cole scored the game-winning goal that night, breaking a 1-1 tie with 8:33 remaining in regulation. The Hurricanes are 3-4-1-0 all-time against Nashville, including a 2-1-1-0 home mark and 1-3-0-0 road record.
