GAME NIGHT
The Carolina Hurricanes return to Raleigh following Saturday’s 2-1 win in Boston to face off against the Dallas Stars on Monday at 7 p.m. The game is the first in a stretch that will see the Hurricanes play eight of nine games at the RBC Center between Dec. 22 and Jan. 8.

Double-platinum-selling recording artist and Raleigh native Clay Aiken will perform the national anthem prior to Monday’s game. During the game’s second intermission, Aiken will perform a song from his debut album Measure of a Man. Throughout the game, Clay Aiken merchandise will be available in a silent auction at the Kids ‘N Community Foundation kiosk to benefit the Kids ‘N Community Foundation, and Aiken’s charity, The Bubel/Aiken Foundation.

CAROLINA NOTES
Hurricanes winger Jeff O’Neill notched his 400th career NHL/Hurricanes point with an assist on Eric Staal’s game-winning goal on Dec. 20 at Boston’s FleetCenter. Through 32 games this season, O’Neill leads the team in points (18) and assists (14). The 27-year-old has led the Hurricanes in scoring in two of the last three seasons and led the team in goal-scoring in each of the last four seasons.

CAROLINA / STARS NOTES
The Hurricanes and the Stars meet for the teams’ lone match up during the 2003-04 season. Last season, Carolina earned three of a possible four points in two games against Dallas. In the team’s first meeting on Dec. 22 at the RBC Center, Kevin Weekes made 28 saves to shut out the Stars for a 1-0 win behind Jeff O’Neill’s third-period goal. Sergei Zubov scored with less than one second remaining in overtime in the team’s Feb. 11 meeting at American Airlines Center, to deal Carolina an overtime loss. The Hurricanes are 23-30-6-1 all-time against the Stars franchise, including a 13-14-4-0 home mark and a 10-16-2-1 record on the road. Dallas has not won at Carolina since the team’s meeting in Greensboro on Jan. 3, 1998.
