GAME NIGHT
The Carolina Hurricanes continue their three-game road swing on Tuesday at Denver’s Pepsi Center against the Colorado Avalanche. Carolina started the Western Conference road swing with a 4-4 tie on Saturday at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena, and will complete its pre-All Star break schedule on Wednesday in Anaheim. The Hurricanes are unbeaten in their last four road games (1/16-1/31: 3-0-1-0).

Winger Justin Williams leads the Hurricanes with 30 points (9g, 21a) this season. Right wing Jeff O’Neill has 27 points (10g, 17a) while playing in all 53 of Carolina’s games. Forward Josef Vasicek carries a three-game points streak (1/27-1/31: 1g, 2a) into Tuesday’s game. Vasicek leads the team in goals (14), power-play goals (5) and ranks tied for second on the team with 27 points.

CAROLINA NOTES
Hurricanes forward Josef Vasicek has nine points (3g, 6a) in the last 10 games, and carries a three-game points streak (1/27-1/31: 1g, 2a) into Tuesday’s game at Colorado. The 23-year-old is now two points shy of 100 for his Hurricanes/NHL career, and ranks second on the team with 27 points this season… Similarly, captain Ron Francis has notched 10 points (1g, 9a) in the last 13 games, defenseman Sean Hill has seven assists and nine points in the last 11 games and winger Erik Cole has three points (2g, 1a) in the last four games.

CAROLINA / AVALANCHE NOTES
The Hurricanes and the Avalanche meet for the first and only time this season on Tuesday at Pepsi Center. Colorado won the teams’ lone meeting last season, 3-2 in overtime at the RBC Center on Jan. 12. Sean Hill and Jeff O’Neill scored the Hurricanes’ goals while Milan Hejduk scored twice for the Avalanche, including OT winner. The Hurricanes hold a 41-63-21-1 all-time record against Colorado, including a 24-25-12-1 home mark and a 17-38-9-0 road record.
