GAME NIGHT
The Carolina Hurricanes close out their two-game road trip on Monday at Florida's Office Depot Center. Carolina scored a 3-2 win on Saturday behind Kevin Weekes' 36-save performance on Long Island to open the two-game trip.

Carolina has earned at least one point in each of its last 12 road games (2/23-3/27: 8-0-1-3), breaking a franchise record (previously 9 - 12/8/01-1/10/02: 6-0-1-2) and including wins in six of the last eight road games (3/5-3/27: 6-0-0-2). In their recent five-game road swing (March 13-20), the Hurricanes went 3-0-0-2, tying the franchise record for points gained (8 of 10) in a five-game road trip.

Hurricanes centerman and alternate captain Rod Brind'Amour has been nominated for the Masterton Trophy by the Carolina chapter of Professional Hockey Writers' Association. The Masterton Trophy is awarded annually to the NHL player that best demonstrates dedication, sportsmanship and perserverence.

AGAINST THE FLORIDA PANTHERS
The Hurricanes and the Panthers meet for their fifth of six match ups during 2003-04, and the second of three games in an 11-day span. Florida won the teams' initial meeting on Oct. 9 in Sunrise, 3-1 before the teams skated to a 2-2 tie on Oct. 13 at the RBC Center. Carolina scored a 3-1 win at the RBC Center on Feb. 16, and a 3-2 win in Raleigh on March 25, the teams' most recent meeting. Josef Vasicek (2g, 2a) leads the Hurricanes against Florida this season with four points.

The Panthers won four of the teams' five 2002-03 regular-season match ups, including the three meetings in Sunrise. The Hurricanes were led by Erik Cole, Ron Francis, Sean Hill and Jeff O'Neill, who each recorded three points against Florida in the five-game regular-season series. The Hurricanes post an 20-18-10-1 all-time record against the Panthers, including a 13-9-3-0 home mark and a 7-9-7-1 road record.
