RBC CENTER TO HOST FIRST ANNUAL DOG WASH SUNDAY

Proceeds to Benefit Local Rescue Groups

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 13, 2004) – On Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the RBC Center’s north parking lot will host the first annual RBC Center Dog Wash, an event to benefit Best Friends Pet Adoption and New Beginnings, both local rescues for displaced pets.

Dog owners can bring their pets to the RBC Center to have them washed by a team of volunteers for a charge of $12 for small dogs, $14 for medium dogs and $16 for large dogs. All proceeds will be split between Best Friends Pet Adoption and New Beginnings. Parking for the event is free and concessions and children’s activities will be available.

For more information on the first annual RBC Center Dog Wash, please contact Hurricanes Community Relations Coordinator Anne Clinard at 919-861-5494.

Both Best Friends Pet Adoption and New Beginnings work to find homes for displaced pets in the Triangle. For more information on pet adoption, contact either Best Friends Pet Adoption (919-661-1722; www.BFPA.org) or New Beginnings (919-468-8311; www.petfinder.org).
