\u2018CANES TO HOST COOL BARS DURING STANLEY CUP FINALS

Team partners with The Restaurant Group to host fan events; Broadcasters to participate

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 25, 2004) – The Carolina Hurricanes today announced that it will join with The Restaurant Group to present Cool Bars events throughout the Stanley Cup Finals. The Finals begin tonight as the Calgary Flames face the Tampa Bay Lightning at St. Pete Times Forum beginning at 8 p.m. (ESPN).

The Stanley Cup Finals Cool Bars “tour” begins tonight at the MacGregor Ale House, one of five Triangle-area restaurants owned and operated by The Restaurant Group. Chuck Kaiton, the radio voice of the Hurricanes, will be on hand to join in tonight’s festivities and take part in a roundtable Q&A session from 6:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. John Forslund, television voice of the Hurricanes, will take part in a similar Q&A session prior to the Game 5 Cool Bars event at the Village Draft House.

Like traditional Cool Bars events there will be raffles during television timeouts, intermission games and appearances by Stormy and members of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina Storm Squad. Here is the schedule for the Stanley Cup Finals Cool Bars “tour”:
