FOX SPORTS NET ANNOUNCES LINEUP OF CANES CLASSICS

FSN to air 10 memorable Hurricanes games including the “Miracle at Molson

RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 25, 2004) – The Carolina Hurricanes and Fox Sports Net today announced the schedule for 10 “Canes Classics to air on Fox Sports Net beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Each of the games will air at 8 p.m. Hurricanes television broadcaster John Forslund will set the stage for the contests, helping fans recall the memories around the Hurricanes’ greatest triumphs.

The first game to air will be Carolina’s overtime victory at Atlanta last season, in which Kevyn Adams tallied a shorthanded, overtime game-winner with less than half a second remaining. Other highlights from the collection of games include three of the six games from the Hurricanes’ Eastern Conference Quarterfinal victory against New Jersey; the ‘Miracle at Molson’ in which the Hurricanes overcame at three-goal third-period deficit to beat the Canadiens in game three at Montreal; the Eastern Conference-title clinching win at Toronto in 2002; and two games from the 2002 Stanley Cup Finals against the Detroit Red Wings.

Along with the broadcasts, Hurricanes fans can visit CarolinaHurricanes.com the day that each game airs to read the archived game story from the day it took place and read quotes from Hurricanes broadcasters and management staff about their memories of each game.
