CAROLINA HURRICANES ANNOUNCE MILITARY, COLLEGE DISCOUNT PROGRAMS
Military personnel, college students receive discounts at the RBC Center with ID

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Sept. 14, 2005

RALEIGH, NC –
Matt West, Vice President of Business Operations for the Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team will introduce a pair of special discount programs. The “Military Appreciation Program” recognizes and provides a discount to the many men and women of the Armed Forces based in North Carolina its neighbors. The “College Caniac Rush Program” provides discounts to all college students.

With the “Military Appreciation Program,” fans presenting a valid military ID at the RBC Center Box Office will receive $20 off any lower-level seat or $5 off any upper-level seat. Fans are limited to 8 tickets per ID, and the offer excludes the Y102.9 FM $10.29 sections.

Through the “College Caniac Rush Program,” students presenting a valid college ID at the RBC Center Box Office will receive $20 off any lower-level ticket, or $5 off any upper-level seat. This offer is available on the day of game only. Students are limited to 2 tickets per ID, and the offer excludes the Y102.9 FM $10.29 sections.

Individual regular-season game tickets for all Hurricanes home games in October and November will go on sale on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. as part of the league-wide NHL on-sale event. On the 17th, tickets may be purchased online only through CarolinaHurricanes.com. Fans in attendance at the Hurricanes’ preseason opener against the Washington Capitals on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. can beat the rush with a special pre-sale on regular-season individual tickets for October and November home contests during the game. All proceeds from ticket sales to that preseason game against the Capitals on Sept. 16 will go directly to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to assist the victims of Hurricanes Katrina.
