HURRICANES AND HARRIS TEETER ANNOUNCE \u201CTOGETHER IN EDUCATION\u201D TICKET PROGRAM
Portion of ticket sales to go to North Carolina school of purchaser’s choice

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Sept. 15, 2005

RALEIGH, NC –
Matt West, Vice President of Business Operations for the Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team is partnering with Harris Teeter to create the “Harris Teeter Together in Education” Ticket Program. The program provides discounts on tickets to select Hurricanes games as well as a monetary donation on each ticket to the Together in Education school of the purchaser’s choice.

“We are excited to work with a great partner like Harris Teeter on this important initiative,” said West. “This organization has always believed in investing in education and this is just another example of how partners can work together to provide benefit to our community.”

The program applies to all Hurricanes home games taking place between a Sunday and a Thursday. Fans can show their Harris Teeter VIC Card at the RBC Center box office and receive a $21 upper-level ticket for $15, a $52 lower-level ticket for $45 or a $57 ticket for $50. As part of the program, a donation of $3 of each ticket sold will go to the Together in Education school of the buyer’s choice – public or private, from preschool through 12th grade.

Individual regular-season game tickets for all Hurricanes home games in October and November will go on sale on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. as part of the league-wide NHL on-sale event. On the 17th, tickets may be purchased online only through CarolinaHurricanes.com. Fans in attendance at the Hurricanes’ preseason opener against the Washington Capitals on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. can beat the rush with a special pre-sale on regular-season individual tickets for October and November home contests during the game. All proceeds from ticket sales to that preseason game against the Capitals on Sept. 16 will go directly to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to assist the victims of Hurricanes Katrina.
