HURRICANES ANNOUNCE \'HOLIDAY HUG\' PROGRAM
Fans who donate items can receive two-for-one ticket vouchers for games Dec. 13, 15 and 20.

RALEIGH, NC – Matt West, Vice President of Business Operations for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s “Holiday Hug” program in conjunction with the North Carolina Food Bank, Toys for Tots and the Goodwill Community Foundation. Fans will have the opportunity to make a donation, and receive a two-for-one ticket voucher to the Hurricanes’ games on Dec. 13, 15 and 20.

“The Hurricanes are proud to support the NC Food Bank, Toys for Tots and the Goodwill Community Foundation this holiday season,” said West. “This program encourages our fans to help these very valuable charitable organizations, while being able to come out and enjoy Hurricanes hockey. Through this program, we are hoping that each of these organizations can provide some joy to the lives of people in need this holiday season.”

The first game that fans can take advantage of the two-for-one ticket offer is Dec. 13 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Fans who donate at least two cans of food to the North Carolina Food Bank will receive a two-for-one voucher to purchase lower level or club level tickets to that night’s game. On Dec. 15 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, fans donating a new, unopened toy to Toys for Tots prior to the Hurricanes’ game will also receive a two-for-one ticket voucher for lower level or club level tickets to that game. And, on Dec. 20, fans donating a new or gently worn, laundered winter hat, scarf or gloves to the Goodwill Community Foundation will receive a two-for-one ticket voucher for lower level or club level tickets to that night’s game against Tampa Bay.

The two-for-one ticket vouchers distributed in conjunction with the “Holiday Hug” donations are only redeemable on the day of game, at the RBC Center Box Office, while supplies last. Box office opens at 10:00, and this offer is not good on VIP Ledge Lounge seats.

The first-place Hurricanes begin a five-game road trip at Dallas on Friday (8:30 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network) before traveling to Phoenix for Saturday’s game against the Coyotes (9 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network). The team will travel to Anaheim, Los Angeles and San Jose before returning to Raleigh prior to the Dec. 13 game against Chicago. Individual game tickets for all Hurricanes games at the RBC Center in December and January can be purchased at the RBC Center box office, all TicketMaster outlets, by calling 919-834-4000 or via CarolinaHurricanes.com.
