Against the Blackhawks
Tuesday marks the only regular-season meeting between Carolina and Chicago. The teams last met on March 17, 2004, a 3-2 Hurricanes win at the United Center. In that contest, Rod Brind'Amour (1g, 2a) led the Hurricanes with a three-points, including his 900th NHL point, in his 1,100th NHL game. Erik Cole (1g, 1a) also posted a multi-point game against Chicago that night, and scored the game-winning goal with 4:22 remaining in Carolina's come-from-behind win. Mark Bell and Tuomo Ruuto each found the net for the Blackhawks in that game. The Carolina franchise posts a 24-28-7-0 all-time record against the Blackhawks, going 14-12-4-0 at home and 10-16-3-0 in Chicago.
