WESLEY TO MISS 4-6 WEEKS WITH KNEE INJURY
RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that defenseman Glen Wesley has been diagnosed with a second-degree sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL). Wesley is expected to miss four to six weeks.
The Carolina Hurricanes continue a four-game home stand Wednesday when they host the Atlanta Thrashers (7 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network). The home stand concludes on Friday, Jan. 6, against the New York Islanders (7 p.m., Hurricanes Radio Network).
