Sunday's Game
The Southeast Division-leading Carolina Hurricanes wrap up a three-game home stand with a Sunday matinee against the St. Louis Blues (1:30 p.m., Hurricanes Radio Network). Carolina took the first game of the home stand on Jan. 10, a 3-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings, and scored a 5-4 overtime win against Nashville on Jan. 13.

The Hurricanes will celebrate Military Appreciation Day on Sunday. Prior to the game, military vehicles and equipment, including an Apache helicopter, will be on display on the RBC Center south lawn. The 82nd Airborne band and chorus will perform prior to game time and the Hurricanes will pay tribute to all branches of the armed services throughout the game.

The Hurricanes wrapped a four-game home stand on Jan. 6 with a 4-1 win against the New York Islanders and have now earned points in each of their last 11 home games (12/13-1/13: 10-0-1) helping them to a 19-4-1 home record, the best home record in the NHL. Carolina's last regulation loss at the RBC Center occurred on Nov. 27, a 5-2 loss to the Atlanta Thrashers. Overall, the Hurricanes post a 29-10-4 record, have earned points in 15 of the last 17 games (12/6-1/13: 13-2-2) and hold the largest lead of any NHL division leader. With 62 points in their first 43 games, the Hurricanes enjoyed their best first-43 games in franchise history, eclipsing the 50-point, 43-game start by the 2001-02 squad.
