STANDING ROOM TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW FOR GAME 1

RALEIGH, NC – Bill Nowicki, Director of Ticket Operations for the National Hockey League Carolina Hurricanes, announced this afternoon that standing room tickets for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals between the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens at the RBC Center have been made available. Approximately 200 standing room tickets, which assign fans to one of several standing room areas in the RBC Center, are available for $95 each. All regular seating areas are sold out for Game 1, which begins at 7 p.m. tonight.
The Hurricanes, who earned the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a franchise record 112 points, will host the seventh-seeded Canadiens in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Monday at 7 p.m. at the RBC Center before traveling to Montreal for Games 3 and 4. Good seats are still available for Game 2.

The Hurricanes remind fans that the RBC Center box office, Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Club, N.C. State University Athletics Ticket Office and TicketMaster are the only authorized ticket sellers for RBC Center events. Due to technological advancements, it is no longer possible to visually determine the authenticity or validity of any ticket. Lost, stolen, counterfeit and other apparently legitimate tickets may have been invalidated through electronic means and will not be honored at the RBC Center. The Hurricanes reserve the right to void, without compensation to the holder or owner, any tickets resold or offered for resale at a price above that allowed by North Carolina General Statutes §14-344 ($3 above face value). The RBC Center and the Hurricanes do not guarantee the authenticity or validity of tickets purchased from any unauthorized source and shall not be responsible for any losses incurred due to the purchase of tickets from unauthorized sellers.
