HURRICANES ANNOUNCE FESTIVITIES AND TIMES FOR GAME 1
Parking lots to open at 9 a.m. prior to Saturday’s Carolina-New Jersey 2 p.m. game

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 4, 2006

RALEIGH, NC –
The Carolina Hurricanes today announced information about the events surrounding Saturday’s Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at the RBC Center between the Southeast Division Champion Hurricanes and the New Jersey Devils. Saturday’s game will begin at 2 p.m. (NBC, Hurricanes Radio Network), and parking lots will open to fans at 9 a.m.

Hurricanes partners Anheuser-Busch and 96 Rock will sponsor a lawn party on the RBC Center’s south lawn beginning at 11:30 a.m. The band Ultraviolet from Winston-Salem will perform at noon and 96 Rock will broadcast live from the lawn party. Stormy and the Storm Squad will visit with fans and food and drink will be available. Fans also will have the chance take a shot at the Hurricanes’ slap shot booth and play street hockey with friends and neighbors on two street hockey rinks.

Upon entering the RBC Center, fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of WRAL.com. Doors will open 90 minutes prior to game time at 12:30 p.m. and the Arena Club Restaurant will open at noon. General parking passes may be purchased in advance at the box office or through the Hurricanes’ Group Sales Department.

The Hurricanes will host Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Monday (7:30 p.m., OLN, Hurricanes Radio Network). Tickets to all second-round Stanley Cup playoff games at the RBC Center are currently available at the RBC Center box office, all North Carolina TicketMaster locations, by calling 919-834-4000 or via CarolinaHurricanes.com. For information on Hurricanes season-ticket packages and mini-season ticket plans, please call 1-866-NHL-CANES. The Hurricanes remind fans that the RBC Center box office, Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Club and TicketMaster are the only authorized ticket sellers for RBC Center events. Due to technological advancements, it is no longer possible to visually determine the authenticity or validity of any ticket. Lost, stolen, counterfeit and other apparently legitimate tickets may have been invalidated through electronic means and will not be honored at the RBC Center. The Hurricanes reserve the right to void, without compensation to the holder or owner, any tickets resold or offered for resale at a price above that allowed by North Carolina General Statutes §14-344 ($3 above face value). The RBC Center and the Hurricanes do not guarantee the authenticity or validity of tickets purchased from any unauthorized source and shall not be responsible for any losses incurred due to the purchase of tickets from unauthorized sellers.
