\'CANES ANNOUNCE DR. ISBELL AS NEW TEAM ORTHOPEDIST
Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic physician will provide care for Carolina players

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—Oct. 5, 2006

RALEIGH, NC—The 2006 Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes today announced Dr. William M. Isbell as the team’s new orthopedist physician. Dr. Isbell works with Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, the largest and most comprehensive orthopaedic practice in Eastern North Carolina.

Isbell, a native of Tennessee, completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center after graduating from East Tennessee State University’s James H. Ouillen College of Medicine. He completed a prestigious sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York under the direction of Dr. Russell F. Warren. While in New York, Isbell was an Assistant Team Physician for the New York Giants.

“We are excited to provide orthopaedic sports medicine care to the reigning Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes,” said Isbell. “Our physicians and staff are committed to providing the highest quality of musculoskeletal care for Wake County and the surrounding communities. We are pleased to extend those services to the coverage of a professional organization the caliber of the Carolina Hurricanes.”
