RYAN BAYDA REASSIGNED TO ALBANY
Left wing played in five games during NHL stint

RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned left wing Ryan Bayda to Albany of the American Hockey League. Bayda scored one goal and had one assist (2 points) in five games with the Hurricanes following his Oct. 15 recall. Bayda, 25, played in just one of Albany’s three games prior to his Oct. 15 recall.
The Saskatoon, Sask., native re-signed with the Hurricanes after playing the 2005-06 season with Manitoba of the AHL. Last season, after returning from a knee injury, Bayda scored 13 goals and added 25 assists (38 points) in 59 games with Manitoba. In 74 career NHL games, all with Carolina, Bayda has scored eight goals and earned 14 assists (22 points).
The Carolina Hurricanes travel to Ottawa for a Saturday night match up against the Senators (7 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network). Following Tuesday’s game at New Jersey (7 p.m., Versus, Hurricanes Radio Network), the Hurricanes return to the RBC Center on Thursday, Nov. 9 to host the Washington Capitals (7 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network).
