Brind’Amour, 36, had four points in Carolina’s 5-2 win at Atlanta on Nov. 1, his 1,200th NHL game. Acquired by Carolina on Jan. 23, 2000, Brind’Amour played his 400th game with the Hurricanes on Oct. 7 in Washington and currently ranks 12th among active players and 71st in NHL history in points with 1,000 points. The 2006 Selke Trophy winner reached the 600-assist mark on Oct. 13 in Atlanta, and is 14 goals shy of 400 in his career.

Hurricanes winger Ray Whitney scored two goals and two assists on Nov. 1 in Atlanta, matching his career high for points in a single game, previously set on March 11, 2002 as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets against the Pittsburgh Penguins. On Nov. 4 at Ottawa, Whitney scored two goals – including the game winner – and earned an assist for his seventh multi-point game of the season and his third multi-point game in the Hurricanes’ last four games. Whitney currently has six multi-assist games, and is currently ranked tied for first on the team in points (19) and second in assists (14).
