TOMORROW’S GAME
The Carolina Hurricanes carry a four-game winning streak into their Tuesday night match up against the Florida Panthers at the RBC Center (7 p.m., Hurricanes Radio Network). The Hurricanes scored a 3-2 overtime win against the Panthers at BankAtlantic Center on Saturday in the teams’ final game before the NHL’s two-day holiday break. Beginning with a Dec. 16 win at Tampa Bay, the Hurricanes have downed Philadelphia, the New York Islanders and Florida to make this the team’s longest winning streak thus far this season.

Tuesday’s game will not be televised by either FSN South – the Hurricanes’ cable television partner – or FSN Florida – the Panthers’ cable television partner. Fans not attending the game can listen to Chuck Kaiton’s call on the Hurricanes Radio Network or via NHL.com.

CAROLINA NOTES
The Hurricanes held their opponent to two or fewer goals for the 17th time this season on Saturday in the win against Florida. Carolina is now 15-0-2 when allowing two or fewer goals. Friday’s 5-1 win against the Islanders was the 11th time this season Carolina has netted five or more goals, and the Hurricanes have won all 11 of those contests.

The Hurricanes’ penalty kill has gone 154-for-177 in 33 games with Rod Brind’Amour in the lineup, but when the captain missed four games in December, the Hurricanes’ penalty kill went 17-for-27.

AGAINST THE PANTHERS
Tuesday marks the third of eight 2006-07 regular-season meetings between the Hurricanes and the Panthers, the first of four meetings between the teams this season at the RBC Center and the second game of a home-and-home holiday set between the teams. The Hurricanes scored a 3-2 overtime win at BankAtlantic Center on Saturday in the teams’ final game before the two-day NHL holiday break. The Hurricanes and the Panthers will next meet on Jan. 11 at the RBC Center.

Last season the Hurricanes posted a 6-1-1 record in eight games against the Panthers, and went 4-0-0 in the teams’ four meetings at the RBC Center. Eric Staal led all scorers with 11 points (4g, 7a) in the eight-game season series, while Olli Jokinen posted 10 points (5g, 5a) for Florida. The Hurricanes hold a 27-21-12-1 all-time record against the Panthers, with a 17-9-3 home mark and a 10-12-9-1 record in South Florida.
