Canes Announce Holiday Charity Promotions

Fans can get buy-one-get-one coupons with donations to toy, food and Goodwill drives

RALEIGH, NC— Curt Johnson, Director of Marketing for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team is offering three major promotions for fans who donate to special charitable causes during the holiday season. Beginning with a Toy Drive that starts on December 10, the Hurricanes will be accepting donations at the RBC Center for three important drives to help those in need during the month of December. In exchange, fans will receive coupons for buy-one-get-one free tickets to select home games. Please note that coupons cannot be used for tickets in the RBC Center’s Champions Club, Club Ledge or Upper Goal Zone areas.

On Dec. 10 at 10 a.m., volunteers will be on hand to begin accepting toys outside the Time Warner Cable Box Office. Fans donating toys will receive buy-one-get-one free coupons for tickets to Carolina’s game against the Ottawa Senators on Dec. 12. Fans may donate toys from Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. through game time on Dec. 12 during normal box office hours, and then take their coupons directly to the box office window for redemption. The toys will benefit Toys 4 Tots, Project Goodfellows, Wake County Human Services, Building Together Ministries and Special Blessings.

On Dec. 13 at 10 a.m., volunteers will be on hand to begin to accept cans and non-perishable boxes of food at the Time Warner Cable Box Office.
