Welcome to Tracking the Storm: The Official Blog of the Hurricanes

Welcome to the new way of blogging on the Hurricanes’ Web site: Tracking the Storm.

Index | Archive

In addition to the blogs you’ve come to know and love on our site - The Guy Behind the Guy by Mike Sundheim, our community relations blog led by Doug Warf and our promotions and fan development blog featuring Jon Chase and Paul Strand - we’ll be adding a blog strictly for Hurricanes news and updates written by myself, Web Producer Paul Branecky.

Rather than having all those separate entities compete for your attention, starting now we are combining them all in one fluid stream, which you’ve already found right here.  All of the above people will contribute frequently, and we are also planning on having some very special guests chime in every now and then.

We’ll post new entries where you can find them, but to keep you as updated as possible, I highly recommend subscribing to this blog via our RSS feed.  For info on how to do that, click here.

As far as the news portion of the blog goes, we’re committed to providing you information beyond the official releases and articles that you’re used to seeing on our site.  If something is happening with the Hurricanes, either out in the open or behind the scenes, we want this to be the place you hear it first.

That being said, check back often as we’ll have everything you need to get ready for training camp in just a few weeks.

In the meantime, if you have a question, comment or something you want me to look into, you can contact me or any of our contributors at webmaster@carolinahurricanes.com and it will get to the right people.

Also, we encourage you to discuss anything and everything you read here on our message boards, providing you keep it civil, of course.
