Brind'Amour Undergoes Knee Surgery
Center expected to return to the lineup before opening night against Florida on Oct. 10
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that center Rod Brind’Amour underwent successful surgery on his left knee this morning at Rex Outpatient in Cary.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Marty Isbell, removing torn cartilage (meniscus) from Brind’Amour’s left knee. Brind’Amour is expected to be back in action prior to the opening of the regular season.
The Carolina Hurricanes open their regular season schedule on Friday, Oct. 10 against the Florida Panthers.
