Canes Forward Justin Williams to Undergo Surgery
Right wing suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during training session Wednesday
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that right wing Justin Williams will have surgery this week to repair a torn right Achilles tendon. Williams suffered the injury on Wednesday morning and is expected to be out for four to six months.
Update: Williams underwent successful surgery on Thursday. The procedure was performed by Dr. Marty Isbell at Rex Outpatient in Cary.
