First off I wanted to thank you all for your support. Our organization is well aware of how great our fans are, but a recent survey offered further proof.  The Sports Business Journal and Triangle Business Journal featured survey results from the Turnkey Brand Index, which measures the strength of a team’s brand in their surrounding market. The Hurricanes placed 20th out of 122 professional teams (NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB), fifth in the NHL and saw the fifth highest increase from ‘07 to this year.  We thank you for your support, loyalty and excitement that you all bring to the RBC Center and the community.

Let’s move on to this weekend as it will be a busy one at the RBC Center-

Saturday, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Philadelphia Flyers, 7:00 p.m.

Over the next few weeks, CanesVision will be showing holiday specials on the jumbotron when the doors open on game days.  Come early to see what they will offer this weekend.

Russ Newberry from The Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel will be operating the Hurricanes Warning Siren. Newberry is a deckhand on the Time Bandit.

Sunday, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Washington Capitals, 5:00 p.m.

Front Lawn Party V will be taking place, headlined by Beggars Caravan.  The party will begin at 3:00 p.m. and fans can enjoy the music, inflatable rides, street hockey and food and beverage.

Also, as a reminder, Sunday is a $1 hot dog day for all fans in attendance.

Three fans will be going for a wild ride during the second intermission with John Deere’s Human Bowling. Before heading out to the concourse for some food and beverage, stick around to watch. It is a sight to see.

You all will be receiving items on the way in and out of the game. The first 10,000 fans will receive a Third Jersey Ornament, compliments of RBC Bank.  It is very nice!

Following the game, fans will receive a reminder about an upcoming Buy One, Get One offer for December 16th when the Hurricanes face the Montreal Canadiens. Individuals that bring a toy to the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center from December 8-December 16th will receive a Buy One, Get One voucher.  On December 15, Stormy Santa will be in attendance for pictures from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Time Warner Cable Box Office.  So grab a present and bring your camera!

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend!
