Maurice: Staal \"100 Percent Ready\"
Paul Maurice audio

After today's morning skate, Paul Maurice said that Eric Staal was feeling no ill-effects from the lower body injury he suffered two days ago in San Jose, and would be in the lineup against Phoenix tonight.

"Staal is fine," he said.  "He feels 100 percent ready, wants all his minutes and doesn't want a reduced role."

With that news, Staal's impressive 307-game ironman streak continues.  He's definitely had other such bumps and bruises along the way, but keeps finding ways to play through it.  Tonight is no different.

Maurice also said that he expects to have Niclas Wallin back for the first time since Jan. 20.  Expect Dennis Seidenberg to go on injured reserve to make room.

With Wallin's return and the addition of Jussi Jokinen earlier today, Maurice said he would have to scratch a forward, but had yet to decide which one.
