Hurricanes Activate Defenseman Niclas Wallin
Dennis Seidenberg placed on injured reserve
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has activated defenseman Niclas Wallin from injured reserve. To make room on the roster, the team has placed defenseman Dennis Seidenberg on injured reserve.
Wallin, 33, has missed the Hurricanes’ last five games after aggravating a leg injury during Carolina’s game at Pittsburgh on Jan. 20. The Boden, Sweden, native has scored one goal and earned eight assists (9 points) in 36 games this season, while averaging 18:17 of ice time per game. Wallin (6’3”, 220 lbs.) has scored 17 goals and earned 46 assists (63 points) in 442 regular-season games in eight seasons with the Hurricanes.
