Guy Behind the Guy: A Rosey Day

The NHL Network has an ongoing series called “Day in the Life,” in which it features an NHL player going through his own personal game day routines. The folks from the NHL Network contacted me about a month or two ago about grabbing a Hurricane for the feature. After a little discussion, we landed on the guy we thought would make for the best 30 minutes of television for the network, and that guy is Chad LaRose.

So beginning this morning at his house, a crew from the NHL Network is along for the ride of a game day with Rosey. Even before the morning skate, the show’s producer was telling me that we picked the right guy. Needless to say, it’s not hard to get some personality out of number 59.

The crew will follow Chad around pretty much all day, with breaks here and there for nap times and dinner time. They were in the locker room with him this morning, and will put a microphone on him for the morning skate and the game tonight. They will also do quick interviews with Rosey at each intermission and after the game.

I will be sure to let everyone know when Rosey’s “Day in the Life” goes to air.

Media Alerts

  • John Forslund will call the game on Versus tonight, aided by Eddie Olczyk and Bob Harwood.
  • It looks like Kerith Burke’s fighting piece with Tim Gleason will air on Wednesday night on ABC-11.
