In a little more than 10 days, I’ll get my first look at the Chad LaRose “Day in the Life” show. Based on everything I heard yesterday from the show’s producer, I am really looking forward to seeing it. A solid 3-0 victory was the icing on the cake for what was already a pretty entertaining collection of videotape. Big thanks to number 59 and Head Coach Paul Maurice for allowing the crew to follow Chad around and be in the locker room on the day of a very important game. The final score allowed the P.R. guy to take a nice sigh of relief for allowing that type of access on such a big day.

A few quick media updates for today:
  • Eric Staal will be on NHL Live, which is simulcast on XM Home Ice on satellite radio and the NHL Network on television today. The NHL’s first star of the week will join the show around 12:30 p.m. We will try to get a copy of Eric’s interview for the website.

  • Matt Cullen will call in to The Fanatics on 99.9 The Fan this afternoon. The show airs from 3-7 p.m.

  • Erik Cole will be David Glenn’s guest on his afternoon show today, which airs from 3-6 p.m. on 850 The Buzz.

  • There should be something about Erik Cole in next week’s Sports Illustrated. Several Hurricanes players and staff members will be calling SI reporter Sarah Kwak today for a piece she is putting together later this week.

  • We’re still waiting on confirmation of a day for the Kerith Burke-Tim Gleason fighting feature.
