The Hurricanes have won six straight at home and I think our fans have stepped up as the atmosphere at the RBC Center has been at its best. Thank you and we look forward to another loud and energetic crowd tonight and tomorrow.
Let’s take a quick glance at the upcoming games:

Friday Night 03.20.09 Carolina Hurricanes vs. NY Islanders
You will notice some extra people in the VOMS with the Eye Care Associate Storm Squad members. As part of a two day clinic they will be joined by members of the Junior Storm Squad. The girls, ages 7-13, went through a clinic on Monday and now will each get to spend a period watching the game in the VOMS.

The Siren Sounder will be professional billiards player and Hall of Famer Ewa Laurance.

Tonight is the final family night for the season. In addition to the ticket discount, ALL fans in attendance can purchase $1 popcorn.

Saturday Night 03.21.09 Carolina Hurricanes vs. Washington Capitals
We will celebrate Stormy’s birthday before and during the game. There will be close to 20 mascots in attendance, including Thrash of the Atlanta Thrashers, Slap Shot from the Washington Capitals, Wool E. Bull of the Durham Bulls and the Carolina Panther’s Sir Purr. Stop by section 108 on the concourse as some of the mascots will be signing autographs and taking pictures before the game.  Also, don’t stray too far during the breaks as they will be back for mascot hockey in the 1st intermission and musical chairs in the 2nd intermission.

The Hurricanes are teaming up with Powerhockey Team, the Carolina Fury, before the game. The team was formed and is run by former Hurricanes intern Jonathan Greeson. He will serve as the Time Warner Starter of the Game and some of his teammates and coaches will be a part of sounding the Hurricanes Warning Siren.

We will host a Front Lawn Party starting at 5:00 p.m. Cougar Magnum will be playing out front and it will be the return of our inflatables and street hockey. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. The weather is looking good and we look forward to seeing you all out there!
