Promotions: What to Look for at Game 4

- It has been nice to see the Hurricanes Warning Siren receive local and national attention as it has recently had increased coverage in news articles and led off FS Carolinas broadcast and highlights on ESPN, TSN and NHL network. As I walked with Bill Cowher on Wednesday night from his seats to the siren, it was nice to see that fans were not only saying hello and recognizing him as the great coach he is but wishing him luck on sounding the siren. With the win last night, Cowher has improved his playoff record to 1-1! Thanks coach!
As with everything our organization does, I am always open to suggestions on who we should have sound the siren in the playoffs or next season. I will preface it though with this- I can promise you we are reaching out to a wide range of individuals, while keeping in mind who has brought us luck in the past and gets the crowd riled up- but feel free to email any suggestions
TONIGHT, on the siren will be….1983 National Champion and current head coach of NC State’s basketball team Sidney Lowe.
- Despite what players, fans, foes, and countless media outlets have said in the past praising Caniacs and the atmosphere at the RBC Center, Boston Globe writer and PTI back-up, Bob Ryan was not impressed with his experience at the game on Wednesday night. While Ryan has a right to his opinion and is an excellent writer, I hope this was more an attempt to get a rise out of our fans then anything else. For whatever reason there are still a few individuals out there that still like to take swipes at the great fans of the Carolina Hurricanes. What is the point? So Caniacs take this as a challenge or laugh it off, but I have no doubt that once again the RBC Center will be the loudest house in the NHL tonight and will continue to be so as long as this journey continues in the 2009 playoffs. Have a safe flight back to Boston Bob.
-Sports Franchise Rankings: ESPN is once again conducting the Ultimate Fan Standings. You all have rallied behind us in the past and praised the team and organization. So yes this is a shameless plug but if you have a moment visit here to fill out the latest SURVEY.
-As they have throughout the playoffs, Ron the Ref and members of the Eye Care Associate Storm Squad will be roaming the parking lots before the game to interact with fans. While my game day duties rarely allow me to venture from the arena, I have decided to join them today to take in the festivities and soak up the atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you all out there and as always thank you for the support!
