HURRICANES JOIN 96 ROCK IN VALENTINE’S DAY MARRIAGE PROMOTION
Winning Caniac Couple to Wed on Ice, Feb. 14
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes and 96 Rock (WBBB-FM 96.1) have joined forces to celebrate Valentine’s Day and marry one lucky couple in an on-ice ceremony during an intermission of their Feb. 14 game against Washington, announced Vice President of Marketing Communications Ken Lehner.
“You can consider this Las Vegas east,” said Lehner. “Time is of the essence as we have to operate within the three-minute intermission promotional time limit required by the NHL.”
The winning couple will receive two luxury-suite tickets to the game and dinner for two in the RBC Center club restaurant before the game. Along with the marriage ceremony, tickets and dinner, the winning couple will receive honeymoon accommodations for four days and three nights and lift tickets at Snowshoe Mountain ski resort in Snowshoe, West Virginia.
Chopper Harrison of 96 Rock and Dixie of the Storm Squad will serve as best man and matron of honor at the ceremony.
