As you all know, the Hurricanes Summer Fun Fest will take place this Friday, July 16, at the RBC Center beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Admission and parking for the summer fun fest are FREE and the food/beverage prices are discounted! Bring your friends, grab the kids, motivate your roommate, get a date with the girl/guy in 302C, beg mom and dad and/or re-unite with an old college bud! See below for updates and additions.

State of the Hurricanes (starts at 8:00 p.m.):  Hosted by Chuck Kaiton, the State of the Hurricanes will include head coach Paul Maurice and Joe Corvo.

Game Viewing (starts at 9:00 p.m.):  Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus Buffalo was voted the game to watch via our online poll at carolinahurricanes.com. I was watching the game yesterday and it brought back so many positive emotions from Brind’Amour's clutch goal, the energy in the RBC Center, the final horn going off, etc. Come relive the memories with us! Don’t forget to bring a blanket!

Activities (begin at 5:30 p.m.):  For a second straight year we have expanded our rides and activities for our fans.

• We have increased our number inflatables to 10+ and will also have street hockey.  This includes a new 15-foot Hurricanes slide, the obstacle course, joust, mechanical bull, bungee run, moon bounce, ETC.!

• Hot ’N Cold Eating Extravaganza: Fans will have the opportunity to win two 12-game plans for the 2010-11 season.  The Extravaganza challenges/dares participants to see who can eat a barbeque sandwich and ice cream sandwich the quickest. Participation is limited and there is a $5 entry fee with proceeds going to the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.  We will host four sub heats at 6:00, 6:20, 6:40 and 7:00.  The top two from each heat will compete on the main stage @ 7:45 p.m. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to Ryan O’Quinn.  Space permitting, fans can sign up day of the event. This will be hosted by Ron the Ref and Adam-12 from 96rock.

• The artificial snow is back! We will have a five-foot and a nine-foot ramp. We will take care of the sleds and no bobsleds!!!
