Community: Hockey Fights Cancer Night
Unfortunately, most of us can say that we have been affected by cancer.  We may have lost a loved one, directly battled with the disease or celebrated the fight won with a cancer survivor.   It is a horrible disease that is increasing as a leading killer globally.

As part of the National Hockey League’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, the Carolina Hurricanes will be having our Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Nov. 3.  We are excited to announce that nine cancer groups will be joining us for the game to promote their causes.

Each group has the opportunity to sell tickets through their outreach efforts where a portion of each ticket sold goes back to the cancer organization.  The top two ticket fundraising organizations will receive either a $7,000 or $3,000 grant courtesy of the National Hockey League.  The grants are in addition to the proceeds they make from their ticket sales.

Please join us for our Hockey Fights Cancer night and help one of the cancer organizations raise funds.  You will find the links below to each respective group’s website.  This will allow you to buy a discounted ticket to the game and support their cause.

What else is going on during Hockey Fights Cancer Night?

Wives’ Hockey Fights Cancer Hat Fundraiser
Would you like to purchase an autographed Hockey Fights Cancer Night locker room hat? The Carolina Hurricanes' wives will be selling mystery hats before the game on Nov. 3, with all of the proceeds benefiting a cancer organization close to the wives’ hearts.  Each hat will be signed by a Carolina Hurricanes player.  You can buy a hat for $40, but come soon because we have a limited amount of 200.  The hats will be available to buy when the doors open at the Kids ‘N Community kiosk outside of section 129.

Concourse Groups
Take time during one of the intermissions to check out each cancer organization’s awareness table on the concourse.

The Eye
Hockey Fights Cancer merchandise will be available at all of The Eye locations.

We hope to see you all at our Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Nov. 3.  It is going to be a special and powerful night at the RBC Center as we both celebrate survivors and join together to end cancer forever.
