Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Nov. 3 kicks off busy month at the RBC Center

Hurricanes Announce November Promotions

RALEIGH, NC – Jon Chase, Director of Community Relations and Promotions for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s home game-related promotions for the month of November. The Hurricanes’ Hockey Fights Cancer Night will take place on Nov. 3, with the team’s first of eight November home games.

Here is a list of the Hurricanes’ other promotions and special nights in the season’s second month:

Wednesday, Nov. 3 vs. New York Islanders
Hockey Fights Cancer Night
Nine local non-profit cancer organizations will be recognized throughout the game.  Also, the Carolina Hurricanes’ wives and girlfriends will be selling player autographed Hockey Fights Cancer hats by Reebok. The hats are $40 each with proceeds benefiting local cancer non-profits and will be sold at the Kids 'N Community Foundation kiosk outside of Section 129

Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Florida Panthers
Front Lawn Party presented by Custom Home Exteriors
Arrive at the RBC Center early to enjoy live music, an inflatable obstacle course, moon bounce, an inflatable Hurricanes slide, street hockey, the slap shot booth, a presence from Hurricanes flagship radio station 99.9 FM The Fan, and food and beverage. Each party starts two hours before game time.

The Nov. 6 lawn party also will be home to the fourth annual Rex Healthcare Celebrity Chili Cook-off. The cook-off will involve local celebrities and restaurants, and all patrons will receive free chili.

Family Night
Bring your family and get a great discount on tickets in select seating areas. Four-ticket packages start at $39, and every Family Night features $1 hotdogs! This special is available at all points of sale, including online. Offer subject to game-week pricing.

Kids 'N Community Foundation Night
Upon entering the RBC Center patrons will receive a copy of the Kids 'N Community Foundation Annual Report featuring recaps and photos of player appearances, community initiatives and education programs during the 2009-10 season. Twenty of the books will be randomly signed by a Carolina Hurricanes player. 

Tuesday, Nov. 9 vs. Edmonton Oilers
College Night presented by Drug Free NC
College students with a valid college ID can purchase lower-level seats for as low as $35 and upper corners seats for $20. A $5 discount is available to those who purchase tickets online. Full pricing information can be found at http://carolinahurricanes.com/college

Tickets purchased through the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center are subject to game-week pricing. Tickets can be purchased online at the College Night discount through day of game.

Wednesday, Nov. 17 vs. Ottawa Senators
Jussi Jokinen Bobblehead Night - presented by Compuware, GlaxoSmithKline and Mix 101.5
The first 10,000 fans will receive a limited edition Jussi Jokinen Bobblehead

Canned Food Drive BOGO Night
Beginning on Nov. 9, fans who donate a minimum of two cans of food at the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center will receive a voucher to purchase buy one, get one free tickets to the Nov. 17 game against the Ottawa Senators. Offer good until game time on Nov. 17. Limit of eight tickets per customer.

Wednesday, Nov. 20 vs. Nashville Predators
FS Carolinas Snap Shot Saturday
Fans of all ages will be able to come down to the ice after the game and have their photo taken on the Hurricanes’ bench. Interested participants can pick up a waiver at the promotions kiosk located at Section 108. The Hurricanes will have staff on hand to assist in taking pictures but will not provide cameras.

Wednesday, Nov. 24 vs. Washington Capitals
Hurricanes Poster Giveaway
The poster will feature the Hurricanes’ three players from Finland – Jussi Jokinen, Joni Pitkanen and Tuomo Ruutu.

Theme Pucks
The Kids 'N Community Foundation will be selling 300 player-signed holiday pucks when doors open at 6 p.m. The Thanksgiving-themed pucks are part of a five-puck series being sold throughout the 2010-11 season. The pucks will be sold for $30 each at the Kids 'N Community Foundation booth located outside of Section 129.

Monday, Nov. 29 vs. Dallas Stars
Toy Drive BOGO Night
Beginning on Nov. 29, fans who donate an unwrapped toy at the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center will receive a voucher to purchase buy one, get one free tickets to the Dec. 3 game against the Colorado Avalanche. Offer good until game time on Dec. 3. Limit of eight tickets per customer.
