RALEIGH, NC – Doug Warf, Senior Director of Marketing for the Carolina Hurricanes and Executive Director of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation, today announced tickets for the annual “Skate with the Canes” will go on sale for season ticket holders at 10 a.m. on Nov. 18. Tickets for the general public will go on sale Nov. 19. “Skate with the Canes” will take place Dec. 30 from 6:00-8:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $75 each and include food, beverages, ice skate rentals and a premium gift, courtesy of the Carolina Hurricanes. Fans can purchase tickets at the Time Warner Cable Box Office, Ticketmaster or by calling (919) 861-5494. Season-ticket holders also can purchase their tickets through the Caniac Account Manager. There will be 600 tickets available for the event, with 300 tickets reserved for the season-ticket holder pre-sale. All proceeds from the event benefit the Carolina Hurricanes Kids ‘N Community Foundation.

“Skate with the Canes” is one of three premiere Kids ‘N Community Foundation fundraising events held each year. This year’s event will rotate attendees in groups of 200 through three different stations; a skating session on the RBC Center ice, tour of the locker room/photo session with various Hurricanes players, and an autograph session. The players will rotate opposite event attendees so that all fans get one station with each different player grouping. Stormy and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad will also be on-hand throughout the event. Fans may bring their own skates for the ice session, or pick up a free rental pair for the event. Attendees must bring their own camera for the photo session.

The Carolina Hurricanes Kids ‘N Community Foundation provides much needed funding to children’s charities and education programs throughout North Carolina. The Foundation has funded scholarship programs, youth hockey, educational and literacy efforts, children’s health programs, the arts and other children’s related initiatives. Annually, the Foundation provides cash and in-kind contributions of more than $1 million to charitable and educational programs in North Carolina. Every member of the Hurricanes organization is actively involved in community activities and the Hurricanes take great pride in the ability to have a positive impact in our state.
