Hurricanes Announce 2011 Preseason Schedule
Carolina to face Buffalo, Nashville, Winnipeg and Columbus in exhibition games
RALEIGH, NC – Jason Karmanos, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s 2011 exhibition schedule.
The Hurricanes will open the preseason at Buffalo on Monday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. Carolina will then host Nashville at the RBC Center on Friday, Sept. 23. On Sunday, Sept. 25, the Hurricanes will host Winnipeg at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, home of Carolina’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers. Following a game at Winnipeg on Sept. 28, the Hurricanes wrap up the preseason with a back-to-back set against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Raleigh on Sept. 30, and at Nashville on Oct. 1.
