RALEIGH, NCKyle Prairie, Director of Ticket Sales for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s mini-season ticket plans for the 2011-12 season. Mini-season ticket plan-holders can opt for a 26-game plan, or choose between three different 12-game plans.

26-game plan | 12-game plans

The 26-game plan covers more than half of the Hurricanes’ home schedule, and includes the team’s home opener on Oct. 7 against Tampa Bay. Of the 26 games in the plan, 23 fall between Thursday and Sunday, and the plan includes popular selections like the team’s games before and after the NHL’s two-day Christmas break, and the game on the Friday following Thanksgiving. Five games against Western Conference opponents are included in the 26-game package, including the Dec. 15 meeting against 2011 Western Conference champion Vancouver. The plan also includes both of the Hurricanes’ home games against the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins, as well as Eastern Conference rivals Montreal, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Toronto. Fans who purchase the 26-game plan will also receive three complimentary game vouchers, which may be redeemed at the Time Warner Cable Box Office in the RBC Center for three additional games of their choice.

The 12-game Red Plan features exclusively games that fall on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with the exception of one Thursday game. Red Plan opponents include Buffalo, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay. All three 12-game packages include two complimentary game vouchers.

The White Plan boasts 10 unique weeknight opponents, and is the only mini-plan that includes team’s final regular season game on April 5 against Montreal. Other notable opponents in the White Plan’s schedule include Philadelphia, the New York Rangers and St. Louis.

The Black Plan offers a mixture of weeknight and weekend games against 11 unique opponents. Notable opponents in the Black Plan include all three New York-area teams, Pittsburgh and Washington.

Mini-season ticket plans provide fans with many of the same advantages of full-season ticket plans, including a discount off the gate ticket price, the chance to purchase game tickets before they go on sale to the general public and priority status for ticket packages for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Mini-plan holders also have access to the Ticket Exchange Program, which allows fans to exchange unused plan tickets on one of the team’s 10 pre-selected exchange game nights.
