Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of Americans? Everyone has a heart, and it is up to us to keep it healthy.
On September 25, the Carolina Hurricanes will be participating in the 2011 Triangle Heart Walk along with some of the Canes' players. The walk will be at the RBC Center and will start at 2:00 p.m.
We are inviting everyone to join the Canes with Heart team. It is free to join, so please sign up today. Once you are on our team, we are challenging each person to spread the word and fundraise for the event. Last year we raised close to $8,000 for the American Heart Association, so please help us surpass that number this year. All of the proceeds from the Triangle Walk will go back to the American Heart Association to use for heart disease research, pediatric heart and stroke research and getting life-saving information to those who need it most.
