Canes Unveil THINK ICE Campaign for Opening Night
RALEIGH, NC – Ben Aycock, Director of Marketing and Brand Development for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced details surrounding the THINK ICE campaign leading up to Opening Night at the RBC Center on Oct. 7 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Beginning tonight, and through Oct. 6, fans can visit www.CarolinaHurricanes.com/thinkice, and enter to win four lower-level season tickets in the new $39 per game section. Also, fans using the hashtag #THINKICE on Twitter leading up to Opening Night will have a chance to win autographed items.
Along with entering to win on the website, the Hurricanes will host five different THINK ICE events throughout the Triangle beginning Monday, Oct. 3. At each event, fans will have the opportunity to shoot a puck at a block of ice to win prizes. Fans dislodging one of the THINK ICE coins from the block of ice with their shot, or pulling an exposed coin due to melting, will be entered to win each day’s grand prize. Daily grand prizes include Hurricanes tickets, a suite night for a Hurricanes game at the RBC Center, autographed merchandise and more. Details regarding daily prizes for THINK ICE events will be released the morning of each event via Facebook and Twitter.
Each of the THINK ICE events will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until the afternoon, until the block of ice melts. Members of the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad, as well as the team’s mascot, Stormy, will be at each event. A list of THINK ICE events is below.
