Community: Hurricanes Partner with Mix 101.5 to Keep Families Warm

The Carolina Hurricanes have partnered with Mix 101.5 FM to host a blanket drive at the Dec. 29 home game vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs. Volunteers from Mix 101.5 FM will be on hand from 5:30-7:30 p.m. outside of the South, East and West Entrances of the RBC Center on Thursday to collect new or gently used blankets.
All of the blankets will be donated to the Raleigh Rescue Mission. The Raleigh Rescue Mission’s goal and hope is to “rebuild broken lives ministering to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people." Their services include:
Please consider bringing a new or gently used blanket to the game with you on Thursday. Imagine not having your warm bed or house to go to when the weather is cold or rainy. A blanket might not mean much to you, but it may mean keeping a child warm and healthy on a cold night on the streets or in the shelter.
