RALEIGH, NC – Kyle Prairie, Vice President of Ticket Sales for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s revised mini-season ticket plans for the 2012-13 season. Mini-season ticket plan-holders can opt for an 18-game plan, or choose between three different 10-game plans.

The 18-game plan begins with the team’s home opener on Jan. 22 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Of the 18 games in the plan, 13 fall between Thursday and Saturday, and the plan includes all of the team’s games against the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres, including the season finale on April 25 against the Rangers. Fans who purchase 18-game plans will receive three complimentary game vouchers, as well as special lanyards honoring their tenures with the Hurricanes that provide access to special season-ticket holder entrances and escalating discounts at The Eye team store based on tenure.

The 10-game Red Plan features exclusively games that fall on Thursday through Saturday nights, with the exception of the Hurricanes’ opening night game on Tuesday, Jan. 22 against the Lightning. Red Plan opponents include defending Southeast champion Florida, and Eastern Conference champion New Jersey, as well as the Rangers, Bruins and Flyers. Fans who purchase any of the three 10-game packages will receive two complimentary game vouchers.

Seven of the 10 games in the Black Plan fall on Thursday through Saturday. The plan also has three Tuesday night games – including the home opener against Tampa Bay and an April 9 match-up with Pittsburgh, the second of two Penguins games included. The Rangers, Sabres and Devils are also among the opponents featured in the Black Plan.

The White Plan features exclusively weeknight games, beginning with the home opener against the Lightning. It also includes both games against the Penguins and Capitals, as well as match-ups with the Sabres and Bruins.

Mini-season ticket plans provide fans with many of the same advantages of full-season ticket plans, including a discount off the gate ticket price, the chance to purchase game tickets before they go on sale to the general public and priority status for ticket packages for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Mini-plan holders also have access to the Ticket Exchange Program, which allows fans to exchange unused plan tickets for one of the team’s 16 pre-selected exchange game nights.
