Hurricanes Announce Training Camp Roster, Schedule
Prize giveaways, 50-percent-off merchandise for fans highlight Sunday’s open practice

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s 2012-13 training camp schedule and roster. The Hurricanes will hold their first practice on Sunday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at PNC Arena. A total of 27 players are on the team’s camp roster, including three goaltenders, eight defensemen and 16 forwards. As always, all practices are open to the public and media.
To celebrate the return of the NHL, the Hurricanes will have raffle giveaways and entertainment for fans who attend the team’s first practice on Sunday. Hurricanes radio broadcaster Chuck Kaiton will be available for a live question and answer session with fans beginning at 12:30 p.m., and Stormy and the Storm Squad will be on hand to assist with prize giveaways and more. In addition, all merchandise in the Hurricanes’ team store, The Eye, will be 50 percent off from Sunday, Jan. 13 through Thursday, Jan. 24. Doors will open at 12:15 p.m., and fans are asked to enter through the East side of PNC Arena.
